When I want a project that I can finish quickly, small quilts are perfect! They let me play with fabrics and patterns without a huge expense or time commitment, yet even the smallest quilt can have a big impact. I love combining applique with piecing, so the small projects I make almost always have both of those elements.

I improvised the border on this one, adding the applique on a whim.
This quilt used tiny 3/4 inch blocks!
